The story of Puma, one of the world's largest and most important fashion sports brand, started with a quarrel between the brothers Adolf and Rudolf Dassler .
In 1924, just after World War I, Adolf and Rudolf ran a successful shoe factory. Since the brothers had quite different characters, they complemented each other very well. After a violent family quarrel which took place just after World War II, the two brothers parted ways. Adi founded a new factory: the Adi Dassler (Adidas) Sportschuhfabrik. Rudolf had already started his own shoe factory, which he first called Ruda, but soon changed into Puma Schuhfabrik Rudolf Dassler.
For over 65 years, Puma has been one of the largest sports brands in the world. Besides shoes, Puma offers products in the category soccer, running, fitness, golf and motorsport. Of course, all featuring the famous wild cat logo.
